This March, we’re celebrating literacy across our Missoula and Flathead Nation programs with engaging, community-centered reading activities that encourage youth to set personal goals, build consistent reading habits, and involve their families in the joys of learning, with a shared celebration at the end.

These efforts connect directly to one of the core RoadMap goals each child works on with their Friend (professional mentor): Learning & Education.

As part of our new strategic plan, we’re working toward an ambitious goal: by 2028, 70% of the youth we serve will be reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade.

With steady encouragement and individualized support, we are already seeing academic growth, including program youth moving up in reading levels and building the skills and confidence they need for long-term success.
