The kids we serve have big hopes and dreams. By including Friends of the Children in your annual giving, you help to create brighter futures. Any amount is appreciated and goes directly to supporting the children and families we serve. Making a commitment to give a multi-year donation helps to ensure organizational sustainability for the long-term.
At Friends of the Children, we make a 12+ year commitment to each child we serve. Giving monthly using your Paypal, credit, or debit card helps sustain our work for the long-term. It’s also a great way to break up a larger donation into a manageable monthly payment.
Part of our programming includes wrap-around care for the families of the children we serve (we call it 2Gen) which helps to create stability for our program youth. You can double the impact of your donation on a child’s life by utilizing your employer’s charitable giving or payroll deduction programs.
It’s our vision that every child who needs a Friend in western Montana will have one. You can contribute to this vision and avoid paying capital gains tax through a donation of appreciated securities. Donating securities is an easy way to put your investment to work in the community.
If you’re over 71 and receive a required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA, you can support our work by making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). QCD’s do not count as income and you are not required to pay taxes on the charitable donation, so not only do you geta nice tax break, your contribution helps to disrupt poverty in our community!
Leave a lasting legacy by including Friends of the Children in your will or estate plans. It can be a specific amount or a percentage of your total estate. Whatever the amount, your legacy gift will directly benefit our program youth and leave a lasting impact on our ability to sustain the work for generations to come.
There are many ways to give. Please contact Jamie McConnell, Development Director, to learn more about these options.
