A Vision For A Brighter Future
A world of new possibilities.
On a recent visit to the University of Montana, Misti*—an enrolled youth in our Missoula program—walked across campus with her Friend, Brittnie, wide-eyed and full of questions. “How old are you? What do you wear? Do you get to go home?” she asked, trying to picture what college life is really like.
After a quiet moment, Misti said, “My parents didn’t go to college, but maybe I can.”
Moments like this reflect the heart of our model: consistent, long-term mentorship that helps young people see new possibilities and build brighter futures for themselves.
Friends of the Children changes the names of youth when sharing stories of impact. We do not pair photos of children with their own stories.*
