Tim Bohrer

Program Director

Tim Brings over 20 years of knowledge and experience to his new role as Program Director at Friends of the Children-Western Montana. Tim has focused his professional career working directly with at-risk youth and young adults across the country.

After graduating from the University of Montana Tim began his career at Missoula Youth Homes as a Youth Counselor. Since then, his journey has taken him to Alaska where he worked as a Program Coordinator with the Serve Alaska Youth Corp (SAYC) providing support services and job training to Alaska Native youth from the Yupik, Aleut and Athabascan tribes. Most recently Tim was Director of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program and served as the AmeriCorps Program Director for the Wisconsin Assoc. for Runaway and Homeless youth (WAHRS) both based in Madison Wisconsin.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Montana and a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota. When not in the office, you can find Tim playing hockey and spending time with his wife, kids, and two dogs.
