Kelsey brings over seven years of experience in child and family mental health, blending clinical expertise with a compassionate, strengths-based approach. She joined Friends of the Children because of her strong alignment with the organization’s mission and her commitment to building supportive, long-term relationships with children and families.
Her professional background includes outpatient therapy, school-based CSCT services, residential treatment, and clinical supervision within nonprofit mental health settings. Kelsey utilizes evidence-based, trauma-informed practices and is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and other strengths-based approaches.
A native Montanan, Kelsey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Montana, with minors in Human Family Development and Sociology. She completed her Master of Social Work at Walla Walla University, with a focus on Child and Family Welfare. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2024.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family and pets, cooking, gardening, and being outdoors.
