Staff: Brittnie Heffner

Brittnie comes to Friends of the Children with an abundant amount of early childhood education experience. She graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelors degree in Elementary education, and while going to school she loved working at ASUMs preschool on campus. She student taught first grade in Arlee, Montana and upon graduating she moved to Butte, Montana and worked there as a preschool teacher for a year and a half. She moved back to Missoula to become a teacher at Head Start, where she strived to make her classroom a warm, fun filled learning environment for her students. Working with children one on one and helping them explore the world has been her passion for years.

In Brittnie’s spare time, you can find her exploring all of Montana’s mountain lakes, fishing our beautiful rivers, and walking her adorable dog.
