Shari worked in Germany as a group home manager of an emancipated German girls’ home, where she was introduced to the amazing world of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP).
Shari was employed with Youth Dynamics in Helena, Montana, as a Behavior Specialist where she was able to assist in implementing the EAP program with her 5 horses. After leaving Youth Dynamics, Shar was a Family Support Specialist with Sunburst Mental health for 11 years. During this time of employment, she relocated to the Flathead Indian Reservation and had the opportunity to run the CSKT Head Start Program, which gave her the privilege of working with Tribal families as a Behavioral Consultant in the Head Start Programs and a Family Coach/Parent Educator.
In March of 2023, Shari became part of the fabulous team at Friends of The Children-Western Montana, as the Family Engagement Specialist.
She has 6 amazing children who are all a big part of her world. They have gifted her 12 beautiful grandchildren. They spend a lot of time together fishing, hiking and camping. In her free time, she likes to garden, go on hikes with her dog, and spend as much time outside and on the water as she can.
